It might be eating sweets or reading bonk-busters or watching a dodgy TV drama or perhaps you still do crosswords?
Tell us about yours and don't spare the blushes!
My current one: watching You Me Her on Netflix. Goodness knows what led me to it but I got pulled in, honest. It's about a throuple (three people in love). There, I've said it!

The Tick, starring Peter Serafinowicz. In a world where superheroes and villains have been real for decades, Arthur, an unassuming accountant with no superpowers, becomes embroiled in the middle of the battle between good and evil. When he realizes that his city is owned by a global supervillain who was long thought to be dead, he struggles to uncover the conspiracy. As he becomes obsessed with the conspiracy, most people think he's crazy. One person who believes Arthur is a mysterious new ally, The Tick, who is a bizarre blue superhero who may just be a figment of Arthur's imagination.Series 2 has just finished on amazon Prime, and it's not been renewed, dammit!.

Two spring to mind
Cinema on a weekday afternoon, using to much N2O while trying to induce a bigger smile on a weekend run

Two spring to mind Cinema on a weekday afternoon, using to much N2O while trying to induce a bigger smile on a weekend run Being a little more serious, for me cinema on a weekday afternoon is an essential pastime, but I'm retired so I don't feel guilty. I don't have a television though, so I feel cinema to me is equivalent to other peoples TV viewing
I've had a think and the only thing I have/do which I consider to be a guilty pleasure is whisky, predominantly single malt Scotch. I have 57 bottles at the moment and I just ordered 3 more this afternoon. Only 27 are open though!
Reading too much possibly, as it means I'm sitting down for long periods.
That's it really.

Mine is a little odd. I seem to be addicted to buying parts and accessories for Unimat 3 mini lathes, mainly on eBay, but I have found other sources / 'pushers' ( I now have 3 of the damn things plus pretty well every accessory and the associated milling machines). I have no idea why really as I never use them as I have several other far more capable machines. I got intrigued by the little things and the various conversion that folk do to them and then got hooked!

That is fantastic! Can you make spare parts for vintage lenses with one, Pete?! I have a wood lathe which hasn't turned a chuck for 14 years. I had to stop, as the dust was killing me.

You probably could with a Unimat 3 although I have a Leinen Instrument Lathe that would be be more suited. If it has a bayonet fitting you'd need to mill the flanges though. There is a milling attachment for the Unimat 3 which would probably be capable and many on eBay come with it (I recently bought a dedicated Unimat 3 milling stand - goodness knows why though as I have several other high precision mills). I occasionally make adapters for microscope objectives which are similar, just smaller. You should get an extractor and get it spinning again, Chris. Or trade it in for a Unimat 3!

I think the title of this thread needs changing to "Lathes I have known".
