Hi Guys,
Major audio and music fan here from sunny (although not now) North Wales. First got into 'proper' hi-fi equipment in 1982. Current system is as follows:
Modified Technics SL-1210MK5G/Ortofon RS212D tonearm/Ortofon SPU Royal GM MKII cartridge. Other cartridges: Denon DL-S1. Audiocom-modified Sony X-777ES/DAS-R1 transport/DAC. Nakamichi BX-125E. Heavily-modified Croft Charisma-X preamp. MC head amps Paul Hynes with SR5 PSU. Tube Distinctions Copper amp, with cryo-treated Tung Sol KT120s. 'Lockwood Major' speakers, using 15" Tannoy Monitor Golds, modified with bespoke crossovers. Other speakers used: Celestion Ditton 66 Studio Monitors.
Music tastes: everything from Abba to Rammstein!!
I also regularly attend live music concerts/gigs and classical music concerts.
Oh, and I also help run a funny wee forum, for daftees, called AoS
Anyway, I look forward to supporting The Audio Standard and learning from your collective knowledge on matters audio and music related.
