Perhaps you would be best served by channelling you talents into investigative journalism, righting the wrongs of dodgy traders, rough builders and people that sell audio with no CE certification.

Resonance control an alternative approach used by a few Shun Mook Mpingo Discs Resonance Controllers. Anyone had experience of? They are a bit naughty environmentally as they use endangered wood.
For those indifferent to such sentiments I have heard believers enthuse. Perhaps one to try on trial?

Used to use the Myrtle blocks on a EAR preamp and helped that a lot. Some stuff it made no difference others it did, So hit and miss

Some stuff it made no difference others it did, So hit and miss I imagine the items it helps have scecific parts that are affected by vibrations, some only at certain frequencies. So people will have differing results. The obvious affected components are capacitors and valves. But there may be more items than that affected. I remember well people taking their crossovers outside of their speaker cabinets and hearing an improvement. One I never understood but can happily believe the person who experienced it, was to carve out the middle of your support, so there was more free space under your equipment. Apparently sounds better. I suppose what is going on is not that your equipment is hovering over space, but that the support has lost some resonances by being reshaped and turned from a plank into a structural design in itself. |

As for you Tonyc , you may be aware that i spend my days fighting for innocent people against unscrupulous employers and hard working medical professionals who occasionally [ as we all do ] make a mistake but the system wont let them hold their hands up . Accordingly I wear my super hero cape with pride Having made a few million pound plus settlements against insurers who stubbornly refuse to admit the legitimacy of the claim , thereby transforming individuals life's , my smug quotient is full to bursting . Accordingly i challenge the purveyors of foo , like you , for own knowledge and amusement . Some what arrogantly , I also see it as a civic service . Viewing what you sell [ distribute] , it is obvious you would like people like me to shut up so you can sell [ distribute ? } to the ignorant . In future I would prefer you to challenge what i write not personally attack me or jammy , but i have strong suspicion you lack the intellectual capabilities to do that . |

I had supports hanging around for months, possibly years before bothering to try them - *knowing* they either would/could not work or the difference would be microscopic. And blow me down, they work

Supports , essentially couple or decouple and to couple or decouple is entirely dictated by the room in my opinion an I don't think there can be a universal system .
I remain skeptical as to the effect of any support except for turntable and speakers and messing about with turntable support caused me to rebuild my PT anniversary with carbon fibre and balsa wood and remove the sprung suspension replacing it with a system of threaded nylon bolts and nuts with springs .

Listening to you two reminds me of a seminar on M.E. (Chronic Fatigue syndrome) back in the 1980's where I saw top consultants from each discipline, you know medics trick cyclists pharmacists etc. M.E. was to one a state of mind, to another a virus and to another a drug issue. I just had to laugh, because apparently it isn't the stand it's the room is oh so like listening to those guys each take their turn on the floor. Many years later in 2002 I went long term sick with M.E. blow me down I found out half the experts in the room were wrong. It does exist! Thankfully fully healed now, unlike many sufferers who carry the residual effects for life. |

What happens is I give an opinion, it is criticised I answer the criticism, they get upset and make out I am causing them grief. ugh no! you challenged my findings I am exploring the subject with you in depth and seeing if we can find a solution. Don't have any interest in your emotional attachment to your opinion. Neither am I attacking your personal life or intending in any way to make that harder for you. you are free to believe what I have found at any time and release yourself from the emotional noose you have tightened round your own neck. I have a very troubled personal life but I don't expect any excuses for my opinions to be blamed on it. |
