Name the systems that were milestones or pinnacles in your hi-fi history, giving you great pleasure at the time.
Here are mine:
1977: Connoisseur BD-1 / SME-II / Empire 200E-III turntable with Linsley-Hood 75 amp and Cambridge R40 speakers My first proper system. The R40s gave me an early taste for good bass.
1984: Mitsubishi motor / SME-III / AT OC7 turntable with self-made MOSFET amp and JBL L-100T speakers The JBLs gave me my first experience of proper dynamics and they certainly rocked.
1997: Pioneer PD-91 CD player with Pass X2.5 preamp, Croft Series IV power amp and IPL S-5TL speakers A more grown-up sound that suited classical a little more than previous setups.
2000: Sony SCD-1 SACD player, Pass X1 preamp, Chord SPM-1200E power amp, JM Lab Mezzo Utopia speakers My first high end system. The Sony was a jewel and the Mezzo Utopias were truly transparent.
2019: Asus / Volumio streamer, Mutec MC-3 reclocker, LKS MH-DA004 DAC, Pass XP-20 preamp, Belles SA-100 power amp, Usher Be-20 speakers My current system: detail, transparency, soundstage. Proper insight into the music.

Good idea for a thread, Martin.
1994:
Audiolab 8000A integrated amp / Marantz CD65II-SE cd player / Wharfedale Diamond II speakers
My first proper system, my Dad upgraded again so I inherited the Audiolab and with pocket money bought myself the Marantz and received the Wharedale's as a Christmas present.
2001:
Exposure XVII/XVIII pre power amps / Sony CDP-339ES cd player / Epos ES14 speakers
My first system following moving into my own property, I had this system for years only changing the CD player to a Naim CDI and adding another XVIII power amp to bi-amp.
2017:
Belles Aria integrated amp / Cambridge CXC transport / Beresford Caiman SEG dac / Focal Electra 1028 Be speakers
My first exploration out of the flat-earth hifi world, suddenly I could hear dynamics, depth, and a proper soundstage.
2019:
Belles Aria integrated amp / Nova Fidelity X40 streamer / Rega RP3, RB303, AT120E turntable / Quadra Aurum Montan VIII speakers
My current and by far best quality and sounding system I have ever owned. Serious dynamics, bass aplenty, depth and width of soundstage and not at all fatiguing, superb.

1978: Julian Richer opened his first shop, on London Bridge Walk, which I had to pass** twice a day, going to and coming from work. Much buggering about and weird Hi Fi ensued, including a pair of their "own brand" speakers. The bass port was a length of PVC water pipe. ** The word "pass" is used purely for illustrative purposes.
1980: Sansui A-40 amp, purchased from Sevenoaks Hi Fi when they only had one shop, in Sevenoaks. My first "proper" amp.
1989: Arcam Alpha2/Dual CS 505-3/Celestion DL4 S2/Phillips CD 7 something-or-other/Kernwood KX-550HX cassette deck - all bought together, also from Sevenoaks. This was pretty much my main system for donkey's years. I did upgrade the CD player to another Phillips CD 7 something-or-other.
2012: Discovered NVA and purchased my NVA system. It remains unchanged to this day because it would cost much more than I can afford to improve on it or to upgrade it.
2018: Raspberry Pi/Volumio.
2019: Discovered AudioQuest cables and finally admitted that cables can make an appreciable and positive difference.
2019: ASUS Tinker Board S/Volumio.

1997: Bought my first HiFi system
It did not sound great but I got some kind of system that had a reasonable mid
2012: Silverline SR17
The first pair of speakers I actually liked apart from a lack of bass
2014/15: Moving to the Hawthrones Open Baffles My first USB DAC and Trans Fi Salvation
This could be quite dynamic and fun. But a bit safe
2018: Going almost Baffle-less
Bass has become more articulate A lively sound
2019: Going baffle-less Speakers become Line array due to an accident. Temple Monos with Supercharger. ASUS Tinkerboard with a Master clock and the Coherehent mains filter
I can listen to music at anytime System has depth, lots of attack and loads of detail without harshness.
