Another test.
Tacima turned off at the wall
Bajofondo Tango club track 1
Played just over a minute of track 1 Played again - yes, same
Turned socket to Tacima on and played track 1 More detail, more bass. Difference noticeable, slightly more than subtle.
Moved it to a more convenient socket, which just happens to be unswitched. Plugged in portable phone wall wart and mini fluorescent light as had been on the cheapo 3 way
No, surely not. Even more detail and bass
If you need a 6 way in or perhaps somewhere near your system you should give it a bash
Not tried it running the other system direct yet. As Hugo says it could well spoil the sound.

This is why I have a variety of different brand plug-in filters sprinkled around the room and main house. They each work on slightly different RFI bands.

This one certainly works I'm wondering about another Have to find things to plug into it Ooh, a light in the corner. Ok that only leaves 5 spare sockets

Would you consider going off the grid Mike something like solar panels or getting Tony to do a deep investigation to your mains supply I am guessing something strange going on with your mains supply

All the filters and conditioners have make the sound better However the sound was already good
When the house was refurbed our sparky tried to get our supply changed to 'something', normal and more up to date, but the Electricity company said no because we have power coming in overhead
Seems almost everything I do to the mains makes the sound better. The Tacima was a punt, subsidised by getting more easily accessible power points
If other tweaks will make it sound even better then I'd be up for that ! Off grid might be a bit expensive, unless I could go part way

Two of my plug-ins are Tacima and they're particularly good.

I wonder if these Tacimas can be used like Mana shelves?
You could buy 10 (or more ideally of course) and then create a linked chain of them which then feeds your regen unit. Assuming a modest 10% improvement in sound quality per Tacima, 10 blocks would give you a 100% improvement in sound quality. A simple mathematical equation - 'Sounds like a bargain'. 😂

No, don't use these to feed your regenerator - they'll stifle the sound flat dead! Use them only elsewhere in the house.

You're spoiling my fun Martin!
Of course the more serious audiophiles amongst us will buy a job lot of these Tacimas (from MCRU of course) and will then distribute them in the houses of the pesky mains polluting neighbours!

Ah, now I see your cunning plan. You could set up a stall offering 'free power strips' to your entire neighbourhood. Instant hi-fi upgrade for you!
