I have one of these. It’s a really great way to suppress system dynamics, and to suck the musical life from recordings. It does have a use, though - my TV system, with all its noisy switching PSUs, is fed from the Tacima, thus (hopefully) limiting the ‘noise’ that would otherwise be squirted into the mains ring.

I don't think Mike's running his system through it?

Opposite side of the room to power lights, laptops and bits.
Would be counter productive to disconnect the system from the Audio Magic conditioner with Schuko sockets
Powering the system direct could be a no no for all sorts of reasons
Easy to demo as I will pull the CD rack out slightly to access the switch

I have a bog standard mains strip running off the same socket as my regen unit so I just unplug it when using the hifi.

ITs excellent at powering fishtanks especially if they have a pump attached, apart from that its pants.

For clarity :
I am *not* using this to power the system
I *am* using it on the opposite side of the room, on the same circuit to power laptop, lights and other
The effect came after turning it on at the switched socket with nothing plugged into it.
For £33 odd it is cheap for a conditioner. With a free 6 way thrown in

I was under the impression that this was a sales thread, not a free-for-all. Surely it's rather bad form to crap all over it, and perhaps it would be better if it were moved to the "Private Sales" sub-forum.

It is not a sales thread I think a bit of confusion According to Mike it is acting like a mains Purifier that usually gets plugged into the mains socket.

That looks suspiciously like a bog stand kettle lead on the Tacima ... must be ripe for an upgrade.

Clarification Mine is not for sale. Hopefully this can be useful to improve system sound for others - if you buy your own I already have a few mains filters and conditioners around which all improve the sound This one does as well. At some future stage I will try it on the kitchen system with the kit plugged into it direct

I don't think Mike's running his system through it? That's what I thought. It would help if folk actually bothered to read things properly
