Looks like he has shot off for now, but I would venture an educated guess that he will be in the Longdog room.

I did want to be there myself this year, but stuff has happened to make it not possible, I am afraid.

That's a shame, Chris.
Anyone else coming?

The show was very poor. Not worth the journey itself, but I needed to be there to meet up with David Brook so mission accomplished.
It was good to catch up with Brooky, SteveEB, Hugo and nice to finally meet Ali. I also had a good chat with Max Townshend about his excellent Podiums.
The two best sounds of the show were the Longdog room (I'm playing Sam McClain now, Ali) and Steve's very interesting new Blackwoods speaker using the Fane full range driver supplemented with a supertweeter. His inspired method of mounting the driver low to couple with the floor and keep it off-axis to the listener brings out the best from it, with the supertweeter doing great duty filling in the top octave. Very nice implementation and very musically communicative.
With such a low room count I'm quite surprised the show went ahead. I hope the vendors got something for the effort made.

Good to finally meet you too Martin, was about time lol.
Didn’t get a lot of time to look around, but I enjoyed the open baffles and also the Lodgsound room, could happily have sat there all day listening to the reel to reels
Steve’s new speakers also sounded very good, though I did comment to him that I thought a nice OTL would be a great match.

Steve's speakers are efficient but he said they're tricky to drive. What you need is a good chunk of solid-state muscle behind them

Well I have a friend who uses the same driver and runs them with a self built OTL with around 2w and they sound very good. Won’t do huge volumes but was sufficient for Owston at the last do.
To my ears they sounded a little shouty at the show with the Croft amps at times. Good detail though.

The show was well attended and many visitors told me there were some great sounding rooms, as good as possible from a hotel room. I really hate negativity about these shows as people have no idea the amount of effort that goes into organizing and exhibiting at them.
We need to support them as much as possible.

Not negativity, just observation. It didn't take long to go around the rooms and there were too few rooms making a good sound. A couple of the largest were not great.
It's not the fault of the vendors but of the organisers. I do try and support shows - by attending them.
