I spent a very pleasant afternoon today, sitting on a lawn in Kendal, with a glass of excellent beer, being entertained by a great band called Beak, Bowie and Sharkey. I had fun playing with a camera and the deep, deep shadows on the stage. A superb version of 'Little Wing' just about made it a perfect day. Deep, deep shadows. We Are The Road Crew.

So what have you been up to? Or what have you got planned?

Looks like a lot of fun, Chris.
It was my son, Leo’s 2nd Birthday on Friday, so we took the day off to extend the bank holiday and celebrate with him. We went to Whipsnade Zoo on Friday and then have spent the rest of the weekend chilling out in the paddling pool in the garden and playing with his new toys together.

I'm spending tomorrow afternoon with my mum as it's her 95th birthday.

Good stuff Paul. Special days when they are that age.

Nice photos!
Not being anywhere near the M3 is our plan. On Friday evening, 50% of the UK's population appeared to be driving south with caravans and motorhomes clogging up the lanes. I even saw one broken down car on the back of a rescue vehicle with its caravan being towed behind! Tomorrow I feel a pub lunch coming on. Otherwise, just enjoying where we are.

Little Wing is one of my all time favourites.
Will be having a flight tonight on my paramotor, would have been this morning but it is too misty.

Sounds like fun Alan. What sort of distances do to cover when you fly?

Been visiting my mum and my sister's family - they all live together. It's the last time we'll be here before the arrival of #2. Been doing a lot of gaming with my nephews.

Sounds like fun Alan. What sort of distances do to cover when you fly? If it's light winds then I can do a 40km+ flight, longest so far is 1 hour 50 min. If I brimmed the tank I could be airbourne for 4 1/2 hours.

Jet skiing just outside Cirencester very shortly, then dropping in to see some old friends and a spot of late lunch, then a local cider festival

Thinking about a bike ride, not sure about the temperature and have to fix a puncture first as the temp rises Apart from that keeping out of the sun and listening to as much music as I can. Boss has returned so volume may be down a bit Exciting times

We just took a walk along Nutley Lane and then the bridle path at the end. Beautiful weather, although too hot for me, and lovely farmland with just the noise of the fauna around us. A combine harvester, a large dull red clattering machine, went about its business for a while. If anything, it accentuated the gorgeous land around us and the sense of peace.
I've extended my weekend by one day in order to go see my son in Bristol tomorrow.

Enjoy your day with your son tomorrow, Martin. We were back in the Paddling Pool this afternoon and playing with Leo’s new car set this morning

BBQ in my beloved back garden. Total sun trap. Might set up a HiFi stereo system to enjoy too.
Hope everyone simply enjoys what they're doing.

Back to work with a bump this morning. We had such a lovely Bank Holiday, it has been a real struggle to keep motivated today.
