Age brings with it many things, aches, pains, reduced mobility and of course a sad reduction in the hearing area of life. But it is still an enjoyable pastime with many benefits and can be enjoyed without violence or the need to be over powering, yet still it occurs. Being honest is best, sometimes difficult but the best way forwards in life and admit your faults. What a miserable way to start a thread... Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying life and the addiction that is music reproduction? I have been listening to music for ob-lab-dip-sko many years, from a teenager and I still know bugger all! But hey, I have a CD collection, not just the little round silver disc's but the big boxes that play them. And I seem to have a rather narrow corridor of what music I like, though I am trying to expand upon it all the time. A lot of headphones, too many, too many headphone amps and way too many CD players. And in case you didn't notice, I tend to waffle but not the edible kind!

Hi and welcome to The Audio Standard. Thanks for a great introduction, and I see you have also run the gauntlet of The Spanish Inquisition! Hopefully you managed to avoid the comfy chair.

Nothing to do with your system, Martin. It's due to the company you keep when you are here at at TAS!

Age brings with it many things, aches, pains, reduced mobility and of course a sad reduction in the hearing area of life. All so true. On the other hand, better appreciation of the finer things in life, dismissal of time wasting politicians and celebrities, and a final phase (hopefully) of retirement where you can spend more time in the company of great music. Oh, and a Harley or fast car
