Maybe. It's but a small gesture to concentrate the mind as to what life today could have been but for the brave servicemen who fought for our freedom.

I didn't,but I do spare a wee thought all the time for the misery and hardship these lads and ladies endured. It's easy enough to think of blokes fighting and living in trenches but women doing 12hr shifts in munitions factories deserve a lot of respect as well.

My grandad was in Burma in WW2, he liberated several Japanese POW camps. He would never speak of what he saw.
