I've never heard of using ferrite rings on speaker cables - you learn something new every day !

Do you mean beads to thread over the cores, or snap chokes to clasp around the whole cable?

Hi Martin or anyone who can answer this question what end of a power cable do you place a ferrite bead close to the equipment or close to the mains plug ?,Thanks in advance .Tim It depends on what the PSU is. If you have something with a linear PSU then it's best being close to the plug. If it has a SMPS then up close to the equipment.
