Another good concert The level of musicianship is top notch. Susan has an amazing voice and Derek gets some amazing tones without jsing affects, its all in his fingers, pick attack, volume control etc

Tuesday off to The Marcus King Band Nice, a great band live. I don't have much lined up, Gretchen Peters, GoGo Penguin and Yuja Wang in May. Maverick and Shrewsbury Folk Festivals . . . that's it! Possibly Neil Cowley next month, but I'm undecided as since going solo I'm not so fussed about him anymore.

Also meeting up with Jules and Martin to a classical concert As well as the Vegerov for us three, I'm looking forward to Mahler 10 with Jules at the Birmingham Symphony Hall, conducted by Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla. I'm also hoping to see the Amati Orchestra again, performing Mahler 2.

I'm tempted . . . . Mahler 10 18 May. It's not just Mahler 10, but Mirga has built quite the reputation and I want to hear her in action.

I was supposed to see Mirga and the CBSO a few weeks ago, but got hit by my first dose of COVID after attending the Bristol Hi-FI Show! They didn't even have the things I wanted to see there, so it was a bit of a wasted day for more than one reason. That dose of COVID cost me two concerts Cardiff is looking like it's going to lose St. David's Hall too, the council want to sell it to the Academy Music Group. A lot say the deal has already been done, but they're denying it. What a travesty that'll be - selling off a world class classical music hall to AMG. You can imagine what that'll do!

My last trip to the Bristol show pre-COVID told me not to bother again, so I haven't. If you do go to the Mahler 10, let us know as we'll be meeting up for a drink.

It is pretty lame and it's probably the last time. My main reason for going was I was hoping to see/hear some Klipsch Cornwall IV's and a Rega Saturn CDP . . . neither were there.
I'll let you know about Mahler, I've looked and plenty of decent seats left. I've only heard 10 live once before, which funnily enough was with Marin Alsop.
