Thank you all for the warm welcome What have I made over the years? Some thirty years ago I started off with the active speakers Linktwitz Speaker based on KEF 139 110 and a tweeter i cannot recollect the name. The Power amps (5) were some simple sophisticated design of the early eighties. That speaker set was at the time a real revelation. real frightening 3D representation Then I have stopped real diy until 2004. I dropped my turntable puck on the open drawer of my Marantz CD80. The only way to get that repaired was to get into DIY again. Good help from people on DIYAUDIO! This website learned me the values of the internet communities in hobbies. Before I only used it for business I have build several types of Gainclones, PhoneClones and have been playing around with T-Amps in an active setting. Build an USB dac as well. Yes I still own the Linkwitz set power amps and filters now from different nature. I also build a few headphone amps. Furthermore I build an open baffle: Visatone B200, Eminence Alpha 15 and gradient like magnostat tweeters. I have build plinths for a Thorens TD 125, Garrard 401 and am know playing around with a Lenco L75. Also gathering stuff for a ball bearing based tangential arm for this system. Also assembling/developing a building block based 240AC pure sinus to be used by the Lenco as well as the Garrard. And off course a number of unfinished projects gathering dust. My main system in the living room consists the following: Project RPM 9 with ZYX 10 cartridge (main source), with sinus regenerating Project box Lehman Black phono amp Krell Pre amp Pass Labs Power amp van Medevoort Electrostats with low mid dynamic Other sources: Marantz CD80, Squeezebox Touch This system is on its own dedicated leg of the in-house power Why no DIY in the main system? The family has to be able to operate it. This does not always work when you need a long sequence of on and of switches to avoid plops. But al the hardware aside what is most important to me is my record collection:) Best guess at this moment around 3000. Ranging from medieval to todays Jazz and Rock/pop I hope this suffices as an introduction. Regrds, Michiel

Pass X150 Krell KSP 7B The Krell without the balanced output unfortunately. The PSU caps, the big ones as well as the ones on the amplifier board replaced by the previous owner.
The phono stage of the Krell is good, but to noisy for me.

Ah, ok. I think the Pass deserves a better preamp, unfortunately.

By the way Martin I envy your Dynavector arm. I have never used or heard one. The design principles are very attractive to me! I own a few arms. The best sounding IMHO the air tangent (clone)and the SME 3012. My guess that the Dynavector would bring the best of the worlds together Michiel

Thanks, Michiel. I dreamed of owning that arm for many years so it was wonderful to finally receive it about 4 years ago. It performs every bit as well as it looks.
