Not for starter systems, where the best high value cables are probably those of Mark Grant, but when your system is well sorted (and not before), Yannis silver interconnects are worth looking at for very high performance at a reasonable cost and good general application. I have used their tonearm, single-ended and balanced cables from the Gaia range to great effect. No characteristic sound or tonal slant, just high transparency.
