I've noticed over the past couple of days quite a delay waiting for certain forum pages to load or update (usually those with lots of media content). Also, when posting there's around a 7 to 10 second delay before the post appears (on very rare occasions the post doesn't appear at all incidentally). This has led to me making a few double posts due to thinking I hadn't hit the 'post' button (all subsequently dealt with). I've performed the usual checks and balances to determine whether the problem is here and it is not. For further clarification I don't have the same problem when visiting other forums or websites just now. Thought you chaps might require a 'heads up' in case there's anything which needs heading off at the pass

I think it must be service provider dependent, Dave. I was using TAS from Belgium yesterday and from work today and it's been pretty fast throughout apart from a few seconds of hesitancy on a couple of occasions when posting.
Pages with lots of YouTube and Spotify posts are problematic as it depends on your SP collecting them fast. Content doesn't come from ProBoards (only the links, which take milliseconds), so you are dependent on routing and number of hops to YouTube, Spotify, etc.

No probs Martin. Getting good throughput here just now (30mps+ down and 2mps up) with a ping of 12ms but I understand there could be other factors at work here

I tap into my technical consultant mode for things like this. Turn it off, turn it on Works for 90% of cases

Done all that Mike , I always run the gamut before posting anything like this...
Up until a couple of days ago page access and posting was occurring just about instantly which is why I thought it worth mentioning

Yup, I've had the slow to post thing too. Even though its a Mac, I have tried off and on and even unplugged the modem, voip etc. Still the same today. PS that took 8 seconds whereas its usually instant

TAS, a slow ATM?
Dave, TAS is an internet forum. No matter how many times you put your PIN in, it's not going to give you money.
