I found this courtesy of a Stephen Fry retweet, and while I was looking for a version I could post here I found it to be one of many, many, "instructional" videos on the subject. Speaking as someone who has probably laced every pair of shoes he's owned wrongly, my mind was blown by this video.

I like to have mine Litz braided - really gives me a sense of the air between my toes, giving each a better defined position with the shoe.
