I remember him as a really nice guy, good rider who didn't get the breaks he deserved. If he was Spanish or maybe Japanese he would have done much better

Marquez crashed out from a commanding lead at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin. Rossi qualified better than normal (2nd); but could not keep Alex Rins behind him. The Suzuki is so improved, it's taken a long time - years! First win for Rins - he so appy!

WSB in Assen. I like Assen. Snow on Saturday compressed both races to be held on Sunday! 42 laps in one day. First race - Bautista on pole. Rea started 8th and Davies on the other Duke way down the field. Bautista won the first race (winning 10 races straight! There have been 3 races per weekend Inc. a sprint race this year). This his first year in WSB! Rea second.
Second race - Rea got from 8th to 2nd in few corners. Led for a while, Bautista hit the front, Rea dropped back but came strong for a solid 3rd behind Van der Mark in photo finish. Some really close racing.
Bautista / Ducati (in his hands) peerless so far!

British Superbikes kicked off last weekend at Silverstone. I recorded it on both Quest and ITV4. Won't bother with Quest's coverage as it's even lower res. Same commentary crew! Wide open this year. No Shane Burn since years. Scott Redding from MotoGP joins Josh Brookes on the Ducati. He qualified well on the front row. Pole went to Tartan McKenzie on a Yamaha. My fav hairstyle, Bradley Ray was well down the grid Favourite team name: OMG Racing Suzuki Couple of big coming togethers - all limped off to fight again. These boys are well hard! Results to follow.. Tarran Mackenzie penalised to second after winning a coming together with Jason Ohallaran on the last corner put him off. Scott Redding 3rd.. Race winner Josh Elliot. 2nd race won by Tarran Mackenzie.

Another MotoGP win for Marquez at Le Mans. He's now 8 PTS ahead in the championship. Some Ducati circuits coming up though.. Early om Miller stuck it to him and led a lap but no chance.. Lorenzo on the same bike as Marquez was 11th!
Dovi and Petrucci were 2nd / 3rd. Rossi started 5th finished behind Miller.
Some close racing..

Imola for World Superbikes.. Bautista after 10 straight wins, could not dominate for pole. Chaz D got that that with Rea 2nd. Race1 Chaz Davies out with mechanical. Rea cleared off finally breaking the Bautista dominance.
2nd Race Chaz got away well and led, made a mistake at the chicane which let Rea and Bautista though. Davies fought back on Bautista. Finished Rea, Davies, Bautista.
New track (really?!) and dampish heavy conditions for Bautista was his explanation. Bautista still 43 PTS ahead in the championship.

Scott Redding did the triple at Donnington Park British Superbikes. Class is showing. He's now leading the championship by 6 points.

Redding is one of those who should still be in MotoGP. I remember his first win in 125s Surprises me how some show real promise and are gone and others hang around forever doing very little Money is likely the key

MotoGP Catalunya, Spain
That was a washout. Agree with "racing incident", but 4 of the top riders out needs a restart IMO. That also needs a rule change of course
Could be the major deciding factor in the championship

Good racing at Misano WSB. Rea reeling Bautista in. Just 16 pts behind now.
Donnington next up.

Rea peerless at Donnington. Won all 3 races.. Feel for Sykes who finished 2nd in the 2nd race but crashed on the slow down lap on a lake of oil put down by a blow up that ended the race early. No warning flags at all.. not being able to get back to the holding area with machine in the 5 mins deadline he was disqualified!! That's harsh.
Rea leaves Donnington in the lead of the championship! Next up personal favourite of mine (on Sims) Laguna Seca.

Been finding Quest TV (Freeview) rather low Res for Motogp.
There is a QuestOD app for Android. Playing the prog and chromecasting to TV gives smooth full HD. No ads too. Is the way to go.
I'm not sure how quickly the on demand is up but it's probably quicker than waiting for the highlights to go up on Freeview.
Freeview is bound to die at some point.
