Brand new from Aune Audio - the S6 Pro. At around £400 looks worth considering for anyone who needs a balanced DAC / headphone amp.

That looks very well spec'd for the money.

Indeed - bit of a shame they couldn't have made an effort making it a bit more aesthetically pleasing!

You can't have everything for £395. Chipset-wise, it looks good. It even has I2S for the future.
Looks better in silver than black.

I take your point but they could have got the basics right - in terms of aesthetics the cheaper DACs actually look better!

For £19,600 it had better be pretty much the best DAC ever made. Knowing Naim's track record, I somehow doubt it.
384k PCM and 128 DSD are not exactly class leading.
Here's the killer: it was reviewed in a NAC52/52PS/NAP250 With PMC system. So how are they going to hear what it might be capable of?

Thought you would have a thought I imagine my TAD may give it a run for a lot less

Not exactly "high-end" but for less than £150 on Amazon the spec on this looks very good indeed. SMSL M7

The problem with those 'reviews' is that they are just measurements. He doesn't even give an impression of its sound. Worthless, as we all know measurements say very little about how it sounds.

Outrageous! I resent your frippery, Sir, and accuse you of downright malicious and heinous Subjectivism. I challenge you to a duel at dawn on the plains of Basingstoke with your weapon of choice; choose your second you fiend! Ok, forget the measurements if you like, but it is the very first peak at the DAC so at least you know what's different about it ... And it does measure better than the 'mk 1' ...
