Coverage on Quest, via Eurosport of the Giro:
Pictures are poor. Probably down to RAI rather than Eurosport. Commentary on the race is a touch down on last year.
Jonathan Edwards did a good job last year as link man. I find the woman doing it this year annoying. Is that accent from NI ?
Glad I don't subscribe to Eurosport. I'd be well teed off

Bad accident for Chris Froome. Out of the Dauphine, Tour de France, maybe the season. Hopefully he will ride again and recover as soon as possible. I have never ridden a bike with a solid wheel as in the time trial bike he was on High wind can take the bike away from you with norml spoked wheels. Solid disc must be 'interesting' Chris Froome in intensive care after suffering serious injuries in crash

Tour de France starts next Saturday - in Belgium of course ! Records being set in high temperatures could be a huge problem. 6 hours a day cycling flat out in blazing sun will need the odd drink plus sugar and salt and other things too

One of the most dramatic stages I have seen especially for a first stage
Tomorrow is a favourite of many. Team time trial

Try the highlights on ITV4 7pm
Yesterday's stage was through glorious countryside, various attacks. The favourite won the stage So what ?
The way he did it was outstanding and he won the yellow jersey to boot

Yesterday's stage was one to savour. Relatively ordinary flat ish stage with a sprint finish expected after not a lot else, maybe. You never can tell with bike racing.
Teams playing strategy with big losers including the team that started it and poor old Kiwi George Bennett who was in the wrong place at exactly the wrong time.
Big shake up in the general classification.
All this with 65k to go and very fast speeds all the way to the line

TdF all over until next year. Withdrawal symptoms will start soon for me
A great watch with many teams stepping up and becoming more professional to try and keep up with Ineos (Sky as was).
Extremely hard way to earn dough
For anyone who likes sport ITV hub will have the highlights for a while
Vuelta, Tour of Spain starts mid August the last of the 3 Grand Tours Looking forward to that
