I'm not a big headphone user and have just an old ( repaired ) set of Superlux HD66B headphones . I saw this being talked about on another forum and decided to take a punt because it's really not a lot of money www.ebay.co.uk/itm/The-Bards...frcectupt=trueIt has been lying on the shelf for a few weeks and I decided to give it a try over the last few days . Well , IMO it has made the headphones infinitely more listeneable with what seems like a bigger soundstage and a smoother sound . I may even start using my headphones more Well worth a try at the price

Well, that does look interesting. I'm quite a rabid headphone fan, loads of pairs (wife thinks I'm potty) - so that is defo worth a punt at the price. Ordered. Will report back once the widget is here.

I'm not really a headphone user Jerry but took a punt on this to see if it made any difference . Glad I did . I'll be interested in feedback from an experienced headphone user .

I don't get it, what does this Widget do?

Possibly some phase manipulation to give a less focussed more airy sound?

And The Bard's Headspace is "non-directional" too.

It may bleed some left/right info across to the other channel to give a more binaural effect?

Just bought one to try. At £16 shipped to NZ, worth a shot.
Thanks Brian

Looking forward to this now, and wondering if I can rig it to work for my loudspeaker feed as well! Didn't Polk, the American speaker company, try something similar?

There was a widget decades ago called the Francenstein, or something like that, that did some jiggerypokery to the sound through speakers. I recall that I didn't like it at all!

You cannot apply binaural principles to speakers where both ears can hear both speakers, so I wouldn't expect it to be successful.
