I was thinking of visiting Big Bend the next time I see my sister in Houston. However, it's a long drive.

This is on Navaho land in New Mexico.
Extremely difficult terrain and no trails - have to use GPS to navigate through the desert.
Nanc & I camped here under the stars - no tent.
Never saw anyone the entire time.

The city square park on Longmire was shot in Las Vegas, New Mexico (just east of Santa Fe).
Same park that the iconic fight scene in Billy Jack!
