Hi Had 2 pairs of these speakers kicking around for a while, one pair had really nice condition cases but the bass windings were shot, so I have finally swapped them out. Have noticed that the rough set have a slightly different layout, there is a tan coloured wire connected to the both coils whereas the other one doesn't. As I couldn't fill the back of an Micro SIM with my knowledge of electronics I was wondering what the extra connection is for. Thanks Stewart

They're the same circuit except that the top one is built onto a bit of board and the bottom one is a printed circuit.
Also, top resistor is 15Ω whereas the bottom one is 22Ω, suggesting a change in drivers, cabinet or required response. Make sure you use the same type in a left/right speaker pair.
