I'll be cooking for my 94-year-old mum so traditional turkey and trimmings (stuffing sprouts, parsnips, roast spuds gravy etc.) followed by Christmas pud. I'll probably pre-prepare a turkey crown the day before, in my slow cooker, slice it, and then heat it through in gravy on Christmas day.
If I was on my own I probably wouldn't bother. I'd have something "nice" but not necessarily Christmassy. I do actually like turkey, though, and Christmas Pud.

I don't mind the lunch but I won't be partaking in all the other humbug!
A nice walk down the lane and across the fields will do me nicely.
Music, too...

Xmas day depends on the weather. But we are in summer, so the types of food are completely different to you guys.
3-4 people cooking lots of little things.
I'll make my garlic mussels. A raw fish dish, a bit of lamb of some sort. 3-4 salads. Potato, kumara, a couple of green salads.
And, I'm going to have some music...
Maybe a walk before we get into desert.

My sister-in-law lives in Pukekohe, NZ, and they still enjoy cooking turkey and all the trimmings in the summer heat!

My sister-in-law lives in Pukekohe, NZ, and they still enjoy cooking turkey and all the trimmings in the summer heat! We used to have roast, with only one person doing the cooking. Sucks for that person. Now the kids are older, everyone makes something. Never quite know what you are going to get...

Christmas Eve we are with the in-laws so will probably have takeaway of some description. Christmas Day it'll be just the 3 of us, and will have Turkey with all the trimmings and then Boxing Day we are with my sister and parents and will again likely have Turkey with all the trimmings.
