The heatshrinks are custom made, there are plenty of firms supply this sort of thing like printasleeve.

Did you ever get round to trying the built in stage in the other preamp?

Did you ever get round to trying the built in stage in the other preamp?
The input impedence was fine its the manual that had a typo dude. I have Nick's phono stage which is the very best so no need to try anything else, doubt I will hear anything better in my lifetime. On my personal quest for the very best I just ordered one of these (DS Audio Master 1 optical cartridge system) so I won't need a phono amplifier as it comes with its own. Perhaps it will better the Music First Ref. Phono who knows.

The input impedence was fine its the manual that had a typo dude. Nick measured it and said it was 3KΩ as stated in the manual.
