Thanks Paul, I’m really looking forward to getting it - shame the seller is away for a couple of weeks …

Gillian Welch's wonderful The Harrow and the Harvest I don't know that album so it's on my playlist queue for listening tonight.

Let me know what you think - "Tennessee" is an all time favourite of mine.

I’m taking a listen. The whole album is very good. A gorgeously unctuous recording too!

Time (The Revelator) was highly thought of but for me it was just ok. I find The Harrow and the Harvest much more satisfying.

Yes indeed Clive! The LP arrived much quicker than anticipated. The quality of the gatefold cover is quite superb - it's a matte, textured finish card and the printing is fabulously detailed with rich colour. So pleased to finally grab one of these.

I like them Paul, but not sure I would want to look at them every day!

Blues for Allah was the first Grateful Dead album I heard.
I hoped it would be the last.

A rare opportunity to listen to the system today! First time for the Temple Audio Supercharger PSU that I'd nabbed off John to power the Tinker. I can't say I can notice any difference yet to using the Powerbank but the system is singing along beautifully for sure. I have some other plans for it in the pipeline ... After a couple of hours in the session I installed a set of QED Reference Audio 40 RCA cables to replace Klotz MC5000 left over from vinyl days - three pairs in total now, a full loom. Repeating some of the earlier tracks, I'm hearing a surprising and satisfying uptick in rez, transparency and palpability in the soundstage. Or else, my amp enjoyed just a few more minutes warm up. Obviously further testing required. The rest of the session was turbo-charged. Favourite tracks today - everyone needs to test their system with this Nils Lofgren! And for some metal mayhem this is absolutely banging .. Some Pink Panther courtesy of speedysteve got the furniture rattling ... Stellar production on this Nelly Furtado.

The Nils Lofgren is a very vibrant and alive recording. The Nelly is just great and I love the opening track.

These are the New Kids on the Block in the system today. A Pro-Ject active pre with Class A single ended output fed by a Swagman Labs LPSU. Both neat and compact on the rack and finished in "MikeMusic TekBlak" (patent pending). I've had them some time but today is their debut. To try these out I had to take the top plate off the Audio Synthesis power amp and set the gain adjust jumpers to Low. I tried every frickin' Allen key in the house (there are many) but none would fit the bolts on the amp. I then tried some on my bike tool and eventually found one that's hidden neatly inside for some reason and bingo, it fitted! Much relief. This was the first chance I have had to peak inside the amp and to my untrained eyes it looks incredibly neatly laid out, tidy and clean. Very nice indeed. I will report back tomorrow on how they sound after a good warm-up.

I've only hooked them up and checked all working fine today - after faffing around for ages with Volumio it was too late for a proper listening session so hopefully will get back to them tomorrow.
The remote control is a bit nasty but the pre itself looks well made with a good bright screen as well.

All you need now is a black bit of card to stop that LED burning out your retinas

LOL - I rather like it!
At least you can see it properly unlike my DAC screen.

Yes, that's a good size display. My DAC's display is too small to read across the room so I have a small pair of binoculars handy.
