^ some call it a resistor volume control as it is a passive stepped attenuator. But it is remote controlled as well, so maybe it should be called a RRVC!
I've got one as well, and it is remarkably transparent.

OMG what a steal.  I paid $35 delivered for these BQEYZ Hybrid Technology in-ear phones. They sound terrific just plugged straight into my phone but sometime I'll try them with the Topping NX4. Just couldn't ask for more at that price.  |

Really fun to listen to, great dynamics and I get a really good volume level from my mobile.
Bass can be surprisingly good too ...

A good friend of mine has given me what looks like a new pair of Kimber 4PR speaker cable which was too short for him. I can't speak directly to 4PR but I did use 4TC and, later, 8TC cable to good effect. |

I have quite a lot of catching up to do when I finally get to fire up the system in coming weeks.
