I really enjoy my LP12. Without it I would not be able to enjoy my vinyl.

Not owned one but heard it at dealer. Owned the Thorens version and the AR Legend version of the same idea. The Michelle gyrodec on marble was better extended top end and more natural. The Garrard 301 in Slatedeck (which I settled with) is not as finessed at the top end as the Michelle but had more normal bass.
Al the suspension decks I heard or owned have an unnatural added midbass tone. The Linn Sondek not being the least of these.
But you can live with it.
the Michelle Gyrodec doesn't seem to add any in house bloom or tone, but it just isn't as solid at the bottom as the 301 in Slatedeck.
I have tried a lot of arms and cartidges, while no arm or cartridge can fix a problem in a deck, synergy applies.
Tried a Mayware Formula 4 unipivot on one in it's standard plinth many years ago, totally standard apart from me removing the stock arm and replacing it with the mayware. It was bloody awful!!! Loads of rumble etc...
Strangely when I used a Mayware it didn't give any issues with the GL99 I was using at the time. Something may have been wrong somewhere or perhaps some overlooked synergy issue elsewhere. I have found the MAyware hard to set up but when once set up kills everything else in it's price point. I am using an air bearing now, not because it sounds better than a Mayware, simply because it is easier to set up and keep on spec.

I really enjoy my LP12. Without it I would not be able to enjoy my vinyl. The modded Technics delivers so much more Alan, for a lot less money I think My LP12 needs a run against my Technics sometime, taking advantage of all the other systems mods. Be interesting to hear the difference

I think it was 10 years ago now we had a turntable comparison at Witham. There were Garrard 301 401 and DD's that stood out in the event to my mind.
After that experience I could settle quite happily for an SP10 or similar. I am equally happy owning a 301 and would be a little sad if it was just the marginally inferior 401 if only on the basis of looks, but I am sure I hear better sound from the 301.
But respect to the Technics.

I would expect that Boboli to be very good. I've seen the range of Bluenote / Goldenote decks and arms down at Audioflair and they look very nicely finished and engineered indeed ...

I have their U-39 univipot tone-arm and I am quite impressed; beautifully made and great VFM.
