Very interesting - can't wait to see how this will work. A new classical streaming service? Free? - we pay our license fees after all.

I wonder how many recordings of the Four Seasons they have in the archive?

I should have known that Jules would beat me to the punch with this story. It says that "They will be available on services such as BBC iPlayer and the BBC Sounds app," which makes me wonder what sort of quality they'll be served/streamed at and whether they will satisfy 'serious" classical music listeners. Hopefully, it's not just a part of an exercise to flog CD's with a discrete (or not so discrete) BBC logo positioned top-right on the cover and it's a genuine offer because, let's face it, we pay for the BBC so we've already bought these recordings once.

I wonder how many recordings of the Four Seasons they have in the archive? That is indeed a salient point Jerry and reminds me I still have a couple of versions to catch up with ...
