That is great news I never heard any of Colin's speakers but always admired them from a distance

Don’t think you’d find anything commercial anywhere near the price to match the Edingdales IMO.

I have 57s,63s frugels and spendor SP1S. the sr eddingdale pretty much takes the best qualities of all the others but adds what only physics can do they have dynamic range certainly at the low end the others cant get near they image as well as the 57s but with frequency extremes that bake your noodle they handle every musical genre with aplomb...they seriously rock but at the same time handle female vocals with a mesmerising delicacy i have swapped the others back in-i love all my speakers but the eddingdales just surpass them in every capacity honestly IMHO an end game speaker Very interesting Tony. Looks wise I love the idea of choosing a custom veneer ...

Im very interested on what Ali hears from these...my electric beach frugels sound terrific in my sons croft/seg set up.
incredibly open with a soundsatge/presentation thats what you could live with forever.
Colin built frugels for years...knows them inside out-sound wise!!!
He listened to my sons a hi fi when he delivered the eddies!
IMHO his speakers really like a bit of power up them..SS is the way to go-I will ready my coat!
just saying,,,,,,

LOL, ironic given the original Edingdale was developed using a 300b SE amp..
Looking forward to getting these too, hopefully I won’t have to work next weekend.

Garys with the 300bs are sublime...

love to try them on temple mono blocks...might just do that on the eddies

Smart looking speakers. I didn't know much about these or the Edingdales. I'd love to hear them one day.

I first heard the driver in Colin’s new OB design and was highly impressed. Chris, who lives near Colin, liked it so much he asked him to build a compact floorstander using them that he could fit in at home. Colin had them built when I went down to listen to the OB’s and I liked what I heard. Had the intention of having a new set of baffles, but don’t currently have room so went for these instead. They should play nicely with the OTL’s.

They look magic, really neat and tidy. He's got a few nice models in the range but I like that compact size.
I'll take Eduardos word for it that they sound good,he's got taste.
