Very nice mate . Been lusting after some of Colin's speakers for a long time . Never seem to be able to get the funds together

Looking great, Ali. What is the (presumably) full range driver?

Looking great, Ali. What is the (presumably) full range driver? It's the same loudspeaker model as I have, just a different veneer.

Thanks. Thought there was something familiar about it.

I really like the wide open window they have into recordings. They're very, very capable speakers. I still hear new things in records that I thought I knew well ....

Ali, really looking forward to your impressions with these....
I still reckon your OBs are the best sounding speakers ive ever heard....all the openness of 57s with the weight and attack of eddingdales!!!

Cheers Tony, Colin’s new OB’s I thought better than mine- they use the same 10” Monacor coaxial for mid and top. Sadly I’m currently staying in a wee flat so no room for OB’s, so these will be a good alternative that I can squeeze in.
Once I have the room I’ll be ordering a set of the OB’s though. :-)

I'd like to know how they compare with other speakers in that kind of price bracket - have you compared them with anything else Tony?

Tony's Edingdales are the SR version, Jules, and they're awesome! You should give Colin a shout next time you're back up North.

I have 57s,63s frugels and spendor SP1S.
the sr eddingdale pretty much takes the best qualities of all the others but adds what only physics can do
they have dynamic range certainly at the low end the others cant get near
they image as well as the 57s but with frequency extremes that bake your noodle
they handle every musical genre with aplomb...they seriously rock but at the same time handle female vocals with a mesmerising delicacy
i have swapped the others back in-i love all my speakers but the eddingdales just surpass them in every capacity
honestly IMHO an end game speaker
