They grow on you. Slooooooowly! #2 is my fave atm, very powerful in its Baxian way. Some solid thematic material, too, which is a mite unusual.

Nailed them both for me, Jerry. The original Prophecies on Koyaanisqatsi is fabulous, too.
Yes, I do like those Glass organ pieces. There is quite some atmosphere to that recording and some nice lower pedals, too. The Bach Passacaglia is suitably monumental.

Walter Bricht, born in 1904 Vienna with 3 Jewish grandparents, and so on an inevitable collision course with the Nazis three decades later. He survived the encounter by emigrating, but his musical career was inevitably hampered. Think Richard Strauss and especially Franz Schmidt. Strictly tonal, excellent orchestrator. Late German Romantic. It's a good listen.
