I'll definitely try the iPurifier sometime soon - they don't seem to come up used often, a good sign I guess, but will keep an eye out for one. Got a Jitterbug arriving in a couple of days.

Almost at the end of tweaks
iFi AC iPurifier, Audioquest Jitterbug, Shumann Resonator Chatres SE, XLR Noise Stopper input caps, Coherent Supercapped Power Supply (into Coherent modded/clocked SEG), SR Red fuse, Akiko Audio Fuse Box tuning chip, 2 x Akiko Audio Universal tuning sticks, RCA input shorting plugs, Mad Scientist Nitro power cable. Not currently listening to the SEG - back using the Bushmaster II with serum/venom mods and Dorado power supply.
Yet to listen to: iFi USB Silencer, Russ Andrews 'The Silencer', MCRU Mains Filtration plug. Daughters have taken over the lounge with XBox and Skyrim.
Still coming: Shumann power supply, Graphene Contact Enhancer, and a Mad Scientist Nitro power cable hard wired to an Eichmann Universal power strip. Strip and amp plugged into wall.
What has made the most noticeable improvement so far? Akiko Audio Fuse Box tuning chip Mad Scientist Nitro power cable iFi AC iPurifier SR Red Fuse

My PCB making skills are well behind me, Tony. For the effort, cheaper to buy from China.

What has made the most noticeable improvement so far? Akiko Audio Fuse Box tuning chip Mad Scientist Nitro power cable iFi AC iPurifier SR Red Fuse Why not the Shumann Resonator? Because the science/rationale behind it is impossible to explain. I did go from the cheap one from China, to the expensive one from Indonesia (after 5 weeks). Why? Perceived (or real) effect on the music. Also, with this in my lounge, and one in my bedroom, this is the most relaxed I have been at this time of year ever. The end of the school year, 26 reports to write for my students, 4 sports tournaments to organise. So, an effect over and above the sonic improvements.

Here I am, sitting in the lounge.
Acceptable music playing, while Jane (wife) plays Skyrim - she's the same age as I am, so don't be thinking anything there.
Have had a couple of whiskeys after a 26 degree day. NB. After Jane's cancer, she doesn't drink, so I don't either (much).
Many things added to my system this year (modded SEG to come). True, probably the biggest was changing Quad 11L to ATC SCM19v2. Hugely grateful to Jane for letting me do this. A big chunk out of our savings... Another high was the Audience AU24SX RCA cables for Merlin Verdi.
Music playing now... Cat Stevens. Know it very well after 45 years.
It's very smooth. Fluid, pleasant. And is sounding different, due to the detail I now hear. Hearing the finest of differences. Being able to seperate the instruments.
What will the SEG do? Subtle, but more, I suspect. And my two Mad Scientist Nitro power cables to return tomorrow.
If I die young, I'll be pretty happy with the system I have managed to scramble together.
I don't know anyone else here who has this audio hobby like I have. Not to pop over to and hang out with, anyway.
I have leaned heavily on your expertise. Questions only, but your time, honesty and sharing of knowledge and experiences have been appreciated. For that, I am hugely grateful.

Enjoy it, Brett. I too had a great evening of just listening and appreciating what I have.
What a shame that you're a bit of a long drive away.

On Brett's experience I have decided to try a cheap Schumann 7.83Hz generator kit from eBay. Should be fun although I'm not sure how you test that the thing is actually working!

For the grand price of £14.57 each, you can get them on eBay, shipped from Hong Kong. For just over a fiver more you can get them from a vendor with "UK Stock" and exactly the same listing, word for word. Description The vendor suggests that... I read that as "buy two and stick one on top of each speaker with a brick on top of them." They can also be used for "sleep" so be careful, if you sit too close you may never get to hear your tunes over your snores. There's also an "upgraded" version with more components to be seen but no explanation of what it's been upgraded to, or with what. Oddly enough, the listing is exactly the same as the other two, word (except for the word "upgraded" of course) for word.

I've gone for the slow-boat from China kit. I'm not in any hurry and if I get it during the Christmas break it'll keep me happy and quiet.

All tweaks I'd planned are in (except the LOA as above). Had the hard wired Mad Scientist Nitro arrive today (to an Eichmann power strip). Can't fit the Audioquest Jitterbug next to the iFi USB Silencer on the Macbook, so just using the iFi USB Silencer (on John's recommendation).
Makes my system sounding pretty damn decent. Watched The Matrix tonight for the first time in over 10 years. Forgot some of the some of what happened. The sound of the movie is, ah, 'quite powerful' now.
Just listening to 'No Need to Argue' by The Cranberries (in the middle of Skyrim being played). Not critical listening, but still hearing subtleties I had previously missed. That's still with the Bushmaster II.
So, what's left?
SEG iFi AC ground cable Applying Graphene Contact Enhancer Perhaps a Grounding box.

The Schumann resonator arrived today. Not even a sheet of instructions were included. I've put it together and plugged it into the 2nd 12V output of my linear PSU. The music room is warming up so I'll have my first listen 'under the influence' later.

Doubt you will hear any change I didn't, too little time for pratting about nowadays and system is sounding better than ever so spending money on proper vinyl these days.

Well, much as I expected nothing, I am definitely getting... something.
More tomorrow. Suffice to say that my system is also sounding terrific and I need sleep but it's keeping me up.

Modified SEG arrived back today. With supercaps, new clock, new RCA inputs on RCA and coaxial, SR Red fuse. Plugged into Coherent supercapped power supply.
Will give it 100 hours. By Monday, a proper listen.
