Have bought another network switch; an unmanaged 8 port Cisco SG110D.
Sent to Fidelity Audio to upgrade the clock.
This will have plugged into it my modem, wifi router, with an Intel Nuc running Roon Rock.

Last electrician visit in a fortnight.
Installing the Akiko Audio Fuse Box Unit Pro.
Also getting them to change the cable to my modem.
I have some Audioquest VSD-2 Digital Video cable I'll get them to use.
Tossing up if I get medical grade power outlets.

Next on the list?
Ethernet cables from the wall to switch #2, and switch to streamer.
Was thinking of Sablon 2020, but they are too stiff for my application (and pricey).
Considering Triode Wire Labs Freedom. Cat6, copper, Telegartner RJ45 connectors.
Can the use the Meicord Opal from modem to switch #1, and Opal to wall, which is then 10m to system.

Kitchen counter samples work well. I have a height restriction, so none of those monster weights. |

I went mental with granite and Ebay recently Need to get sticking felt on the underside and get them into my tight heights Monster 300x400mm weigh 5 kilos each plus ! Power amp is calling out for them |

All my granite placemats and coasters have stickyback black felt on the underside. I had a regular production line going at one point.
Schramm weights on top.

I bought a 5 metre roll of sticky felt ! Schramms are ok if you have height although not in black so beyond the pale Granite's advantages, black (!), little height and the ability to move them around which I will get into sooner or later There will be stacks of it on the various kit. |

Akiko Audio Fuse Box Unit Pro has been installed.
Modded Cisco 2960 switch installed at modem/router end of the house (Audiophool.nl)
In the process of ordering 2 x Triode Wire Labs 'Freedom' ethernet cables.
Re-clocked Cisco switch and No Noise Ultra SE noise filter being made up (Fidelity Audio).
Putting more snap chokes around the house.
Looking at trialling the Mad Scientist Black Magic Ultra USB cable.

Have the re-clocked network switch, SEG50 firmware and NoNoise Ultra SE just arrived in Singapore.
When it arrives next week, will start to have a listen.

Yes, I still have the MeiCord but it's 3m or longer so I'll be selling it. You can't buy them at the moment which is why I went for the Supra Cat8 1m.
It's just so that I can replace a crappy freebie ethernet cable with something better.

Have a slight change in plans.
Will sell my M2Tech HiFace Evo Two/Clock/Supply DDC.
Replace it with a Gustard U18 DDC.
This does simplify things a little behind the scenes.
And provides a few steps up in sound improvement.

Especially looking at what has changed in the past year. Streamer/Dac/Ethernet connection/Network Switches/Ethernet Cables/Linear Power Supplies/Fuses/Power Treatments.
Have been thinking, reading, planning, changing plans.
I know you guys will say, get your system running. That should be my priority.
Yeh, I understand that.
That was meant to have happened this week, but then my cousin buggered off to the States for two months to see kids/grandchildren.
She has some essential ingredients. Five weeks and counting.
So where to then?
Hopefully looking at more 'final purchases' rather than continuing to upgrade.
I have made a firm decision to buy the Audio GD DI20HE DDC. Add some Coherent mods to it.
And this one is an 'end game' purchase for me.
Buy an external clock.
Update my linear power supplies to Plixir Elite BDC.
Add a third grounding box.
Evaluate Dac. Perhaps replace (I'm really enjoying listening to my Grado RS1).
Set up the Lenovo P11 tablet.
Finally, try Roon (sometime next year).
And loving Qobuz.
Just realised how much I missed music!
