I just took delivery of more 'RDC combi bases', to compliment the RDC spikes and footers (after a massive delay, I placed this order July and it's still not complete!).
/rant
For the record: 70% of my system is already fully ‘RDC’d’ (spike, footer and combi-bases under both components and their respective isolation platforms). I also haven’t bought any more RDC in at least four years, so I'm used to the sound. I popped them in and put some tunes on whilst 'relaxing' with my phone. I say this because I want to make it clear that I wasn't listening critically, or seriously at all.
Anyway, you know something is different (not always better) when the music grabs your attention due to how different things sound.
In this case, it is a change for the better, the timbre of instruments is more clearly articulated, there's more texture to the sound and percussion sounds 'tighter' - I mean that it has a more pronounced attack than before, but decay doesn't seem to be curtailed. If the system were a person, it just sat up a bit straighter and speaks to me in a more adult and engaging manener. I must say I've been pleasantly surprised by this development.

It's good when footers do this as it's confirmation that the equipment was subject to vibrations before and that they are working.
