Gripped a bloke up once, about to batter him and someone says "just count to ten" I said " yeah no problem,I'm just making sure this fucker doesn't go anywhere in the meantime".
Showing my intellectual side here.

I'm a very placid person, it takes a lot to wind me up. I've only ever hit a bloke once in anger and that was an ex brother in law. Mind you he had just kicked the front door in because he was under the mistaken belief that he wasn't going to get paid for some work he had done. Right Prat.
Cheers, Alan

I had my fair share of battles when I was a young'un but I've mellowed a lot, put on some weight and inherited Quasimodo's back so my battling days are long gone...

Yeah it's been a while since I raised my fists as well. Still like a good punch up though.

Never been one to start trouble. More inclined to break it up. Had to 'pacify' the odd aggressive hostile though. Not one to be intimidated.

I'm quite recently into this new age tosh. So much of how we live our lives is bound up in our ego and identities, and our interactions with others are dictated by whether their own identities and egos support or threaten our carefully crafted representation of ourselves. Do you see much of that going on around you?. It is good to remember that life is empty and meaningless, and it's empty and meaningless that it's empty and meaningless. If we can also be aware that we can't help but arbitrarily make things mean something and that we all do this, there is reduced scope for letting our egos run the show for us (which is almost always a bad thing) and defining things in terms or right/wrong, good/bad and do on. Peace!

It is psychobabble. Drivel by a linguistically challenged gnome who has a beard, keeps a comb in his sock, likes fat girls, and wears pajamas to bed. "Relationships requires two or more people to be involved in." Good grief.
@alan. I have also only been in a fight once since I was an adult. It settled a score between us and it felt really good afterwards! We are not friends now but afterwards he did engage me to do some work, and I did it at mates rates. It just cleared the air. I hope you got recompensed for the door!

It certainly is hard to take humans seriously.
If there was a creator he sure did have a sense of humour.

To (sort of) justify myself, I don't take any people very seriously but the last time I raised my fists was a 45/50 yr old bloke following my 15yr old and her pal along the road whilst piping up with highly inappropriate comments. Mobile rings, tells me she's scared and I'm off the settee and onto my bike like a shot. Caught up with this geezer and weighed him in. Pled guilty to it,defended myself by telling the truth and was admonished. Just because something's illegal doesn't mean it's wrong. Wonder if the interaction between our egos suffered....
