I have a little ECL86 valve amp that would work a treat with your Klipsch Heresies. The little Rogers Cadet I sold a few years ago would be good with them. A little warmth to counter the Klipsch in-your-face presentation.

Roger, you are bringing your personal argument to this forum again. You have already been suspended over this before. Name calling won't be tolerated. It stops right now please. In Roger's defence, no offence was interpreted or taken by me from his post. I rather enjoyed the 'flowery prose. I agree it will be easier to stay on-topic, though.

Something like a pair of PYE PF91's would work very well unless you are a bat...KT 66 output stage..Unfortunatly increacingly Rare and increacingly pricey these days.

You have repeatedly been told about this and yet you ignore it. The fact that Paul is gracious enough to overlook it does not excuse your repeated flouting of our rules.

I was going to say exactly the same thing. Having heard both NVA speakers (a long time ago) and the Klipsch, I think I know which I would prefer. The Heresy doesn't half chuck it at you! Am I correct in reading into the title of this thread that you come from the top right corner of our fair land? About 10 miles west of Durham. Lived here for around 17 years, originally from Essex...guvnor! Are you popping round for a cuppa sometime? I do around 3 bake-offs a year. The Klipsch are going to be for nostalgia. Flawed but fun. Though, I'm told that the Mk3 I have are less 'violent' than the early ones... I see your 'guvnor' and raise you a 'Gor blimey'! I was born in Essex and also lived for a while as a kid just a few miles away from Durham. Like Jules, I don't get over that way too often, but you never know...

Welcome Paul,
It's really nice to see some of the HFS membership starting to venture out to other forums.

Yes, you're correct. It is. No more warnings. Completely agree and support Chris with his decision, we don’t want people causing trouble here and bringing along baggage from elsewhere, it won’t be tolerated.

Hi Paul
Did you have a play with the heresy's and have you managed the holographic image yet?

Hi Andy, mate,
I'm getting there. Just been too hot to be indoors for very long.
Tickling them along, for the moment, with a little 10 watt NVA AP10P that is destined for my office system...

Good Man they are worth persevering with, I thought they prefered a little valve power but hey if they are working nicely with the AP10P then that's a bonus.
Next time I come up if you want to hear a Garrard I could probably bring one of mine along. This might be better as a two man day rather than a Bake off as I suspect due to the weight involved and the likely set up time, we will probably spend more time fiddling than listening.

Cool. I'd really like that, mate. Cheers...
I'm trying out the AP10P for my office system. A couple of Italian guys are using it with their Heresys and reporting good results so I thought I'd give it a whirl. A 'dinky' valve amp or a 1970s receiver are in my sights for the Heresys, long term, as the '2nd' system is 'all about the vintage'!

Ok I will see how I am fixed over the next couple of months. Your P2 is mc I guess so it probably makes sense to bring the 401 as it has an Audio Technica at33ev on an Audio Origami PU7 arm and there will be little setting up to do other than building the table and getting it fairly level.
I will drop you a note with some dates when I have it sorted.
