These arrived today from China and are destined for my BTE Passive. Unfortunately although they have a standard 6mm (1/4") centre fixing I hadn't banked on the shafts on the BTE being non-standard items (never assume, lesson learnt ). I can't be arsed with all the hassle involved in sending them back to China so I thought I'd make a plea for help here, so here goes (fingers crossed):
Does anyone own a decent pillar drill or perhaps a lathe who wouldn't mind reaming these out to 6.34mm for me please? Churz...

According to my metric conversion calculator that is 0.2496 inches.
I should have a 1/4" reamer (0.250") in my kit.
If 0.250 is near enough I'll go and see if I can find the reamer. (I have a lathe and pillar drill)

Righty-ho, it would appear that it is not the shafts on the BTE which are at fault, the holes are not the correct diameter on the knobs. They measure out at 6mm across so somebody has cocked up somewhere along the line as they were described as standard '6mm (1/4")' fixings. As Barry has pointed out on AoS, 1/4" equates to 6.35mm. Regardless, they will need drilling out so my request stands... Thanks...

I've found my 1/4" reamer, not where it should have been though.
I'd be happy to do that little job for you, just send it in a reusable box with a stamp for return postage.
Send me a PM for address details.
PS 6mm is a close approximation to 1/4".
