Hi all, Just wanted to clear a bit of confusion, I responded to Dave's PM so not sure what's happened. I'm well known on the forums and move a lot of gear on. My feedback is excellent and I always respond to PMs or enquiries to any item I have advertised, even if sold! Sorry for any confusion but as you can see from the screenshots, I did respond pretty swiftly. Oliver.

All good then. Thanks for clearing it up. The PM that went missing is presumably still missing?

Hi Oliver, did your NVA phono 2 make an outing at the AOS bake-off?
I appreciate that you couldn't have mentioned it on AOS if it did ...

Hi Oliver, did your NVA phono 2 make an outing at the AOS bake-off? I appreciate that you couldn't have mentioned it on AOS if it did ... I reached a sort of Amicable agreement that it wouldn't be in the bakeoff itself due to the inability to report on its performance on AoS. That's not to say that it didn't get put through its paces here. In truth, it's probably the most rigorous testing I've done with anything but I wanted to be sure of feelings about it and Now I am.

Well, you can discuss any brand of gear here.

Indeed - I know you sold it but would be good to know what your findings were, especially since it wasn't optimally adjusted at the MCRU bake-off ...

Indeed - I know you sold it but would be good to know what your findings were, especially since it wasn't optimally adjusted at the MCRU bake-off ... Well, according to RD, the circuit is load rejecting so it shouldn't matter what it's loaded at but here, for the direct comparison, I loaded the Wizard at 470ohms (the NVA is loaded at 470ohm as standard). It was quite an eye opener as I hadn't done it before or thought about it. I'll put my thoughts into a post and share when it's ready. In a separate thread too.

At MCRU they couldn't get a decent level from it with the pre-amp set to max volume.

Ah, that might explain it then! I think so, seems a bit of misinformation may have broken out before the truth got its boots on, as usual!

It doesn't matter about that as we had all heard it at the previous bake off and I bought one for myself as a result of that. For the money is very good indeed. What more needs to be said?

It went back to NVA, where Richard found it was set up for MM.
It's now set up for MC.

What more needs to be said? Quite a lot more could be said as there is not much written about it anywhere. If it performs well or is a giant killer then we need to know. Hopefully bigman80 will provide.
