Bit of a strange one I admit, but I originally came across Def Leppard after my Dad bought an album soundtrack by Mark Knopfler called Cal.




He hadn't heard the album before, but was recommended by a friend, and when he first got it home he played it. Well, it certainly wasn't Mark Knopfler, but who was it?

The physical CD had the correct pressings on it, Mark Knopfler - Cal.




Dad decided it wasn't his type of music, so put it in his CD cupboard and forgot about it. But I just couldn't, I wanted to know who this band were?

In those times, you couldn't just look it up on the internet to find out who the music was, so it took me months and months, but I finally found out that it was

Def Leppard and the album was Hysteria. After playing it to a friend who lived across the road they confirmed that they had been a fan of theirs for years, so they then introduced me to their back catalog.



Ever since that day, Def Leppard have been my single favourite band. I just love their Heavy Rock / Hair Metal style and have followed them ever since.
