Bent - Ariels An album I keep playing along with another of theirs - Intercept! - also highly recommended. Two white guys doing electronica very well. Nail Tolliday Simon Mills Lots of supporting musicians and even female vocalists ! AllMusic describes the music styles as Club/Dance House Left-Field House Alternative/Indie Rock Ambient Pop I say Dance Music meets Radio 2 to combine the best of both Just as good, not quite the same Intercept!

I know Bent, but not as familiar with this album, so I’ll give it a go.

I say both of these are better than Programed to love and The Everlasting blink which are 7 or 8 out of ten for me

I've never heard them, so I'm looking forward to fitting this in between football matches.

I've never heard them either and will fit them in instead of football

Nope, sorry Mike. Too "light and fluffy" for me and much too close to mainstream pop. Only a five I'm afraid.

Don't think of it as pop. Perhaps a little light and fluffy. It grows and grows until it becomes indispensable

Sounds pleasant enough. Will give a few more spins throughout the week.

I had expected to hear the interesting vocals and beats of Zero 7, wrapped up in melodic electronica. Sadly, this isn't working for me at all. Light and fluffy, as Paul says - sorry! 4/10.

Decided to bring favourites from the queue to the main system forward. All the Bent albums now played on the big system. Well made and showing it. Even without CD treatment the detail is wonderful. Treatment will follow next run through the playlist Helps having the volume at 'adequate'

I've re-evaluated this from 4/10 to 6/10. Poll amended accordingly.
I still far prefer Zero 7, though.
