Love them! Great speaker stands. Well built, good design work really well.
Mine have sand in them - picked up some shot today and intend to replace the sand with that. Can't remember how though!
Can anyone help?

Put portions of it into plastic bags or balloons with the tops tied. Weigh off equal amounts so you can get the same amount in each stand by just adding the same number of bags. Add to taste but I bet you won't need as much volume of shot as sand. If the stands are full of sand, you'll probably be fine with about 2/3rds of that in lead. Don't lick your fingers afterwards!

Cheers Chris!
There's bagged sand in them already,I'm thinking I want that out and changed. Or maybe I'll just add on top of it.

Sounds like ChrisB is an expert in decanting 'substances' into little bags ... I fancy trying something other than sand in my stands - I've found a good deal for steel carbon pellets, much cheaper than lead shot - worth a try?

I've got access to bags and bags and bags of shot julesd you'd be welcome to it for nowt but it'd cost a fortune to post. If you wanted to sort a courier out you can have it.

I put 60kg of lead shot into the base compartment of my speakers (30kg in each). I bought it from a Yacht Keel merchant.

That's a very kind offer Chris. I've just remembered I might have a fair bit of lead weight left over from when I was drysuit diving in this country - I'll brave going into the garage to see if I can find it ...
