First heard this band in '69 and then saw them in '70 at the Bath Festival a really seminal prog/psychedelic rock band, the theme from their track Bombay Calling was nicked by Deep Purple for Child in Time. I first met the band at Bath festival, and again in 71 when I went with them and Taj Mahal on a European tour in '71 if this tickles you fancy, try some Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Airplane and early Deep Purple. Plenty of the tracks on Spotify, but do yourself a favour, the album in now out on 180gm vinyl

As the album itself is not on Spotify, any chance of naming a few tracks to listen to?

As the album itself is not on Spotify, any chance of naming a few tracks to listen to? Try 'White Bird' for starters Martin. This is an album I know well and will give top marks too, as soon as I work out which one actually is "top." I'm assuming it to be "it's clear and cool and minty" but the scoring system appears to be non-linear.

Thanks, listening to that now (a live version).
The voting system is... different!

The whole album is here...
Their next album, Marrying Maiden is good too. Track 1 of that, Don and Dewey, is a classic instrumental.

Thanks, listening to that now (a live version). The voting system is... different! Different yes, but never boring or predictable. This is the track listing and tBH they are all stand out tracks by one of the finest bands of their generation, never to really make it. Just the flip of a coin stopped them from getting the Santana slot at Woodstock and if they had played that gig, they would have been rock legends. A1 White Bird Written-By – David Laflamme, Linda Laflamme 6:06 A2 Hot Summer Day Written-By – David Laflamme, Linda Laflamme 5:46 A3 Wasted Union Blues Written-By – David Laflamme 4:00 A4 Girl With No Eyes Written-By – David Laflamme, Linda Laflamme 3:49 B1 Bombay Calling Written-By – David Laflamme, Vince Wallace 4:25 B2 Bulgaria Written-By – David Laflamme 6:10 B3 Time Is Written-By – David Laflamme

Good album which I have on Vinyl, and have chosen it’s representative of music of its time.

Track 1 of that, Don and Dewey, is a classic instrumental. Don & Dewey were a vocal duo and Don went on to play violin on Hot Rats and other Zappa albums as Sugarcane Harris.
Of course, Don & Dewey is also known as 'Wring That Neck'! And from the album in the OP, here's the original of Deep Purple's 'Child in Time.
Apart from all of that, I've always loved this album since hearing it as a teenager. 10/10 from me.

Interesting that DP put the words to it. It's a great song.

I forgot to vote and I'm as confused as everyone else. I'll go for minty!
