Amps are the new Lyngdorf TDAi3400 for the 'stats and the older SDA2175 for the W210 bass units. All a bit squished up really and I am sure they would sound better with more space but hey . . . waiting for the lottery win (unlikely as I've never bought a ticket).

Nice. They certainly dominate even more than my speakers.
How do you find them now that you've lived with them for a while?

A real curate’s egg. Most times I am stunned by their clarity, soundstage and sheer believeability. At others I want a bit more slam. But then again, I doubt there is much ‘affordable’ hifi that can ever deliver the volume and scale that out and out rock music demands. May as well go and buy a pair of PA speakers for that. For all else, these are the best I have owned yat.

Finally convinced the wife to let me move them out from the wall a little - 6" really does make a difference ! Now I get a chunk more depth of soundstage and I can do away with the absorption panels. All I can say is they need a minimum of 3' from the wall behind. Also have greatly improved imagery too. Time to rediscover a few favourite tracks . . .
Just wondering now about the bass units. They have served me pretty well and I find them extended enough and reasonably clean. Certainly far better than small to mid size Final and REL subs I have had in the past. But, I wonder, would a Velodyne servo jobby do a better job ? The DD12+ would seem to fit the bill but I could only afford one. At the moment I have a steep crossover to the Quads at 70Hz nd 48dB / oct.

Nice. Do you really need two subs? They are so non-directional that just the one placed in a suitable corner should do the job. Adjust phase for most even bass.
