I have recently thought about this this conundrum a bit and have been experimenting.
With my Exposure amps, it made quite a lot of difference if they were left on all of the time.
Turning them off made them sound thin and harsh and could take quite a lot of time, maybe a day before the came on song.
The Belles is much quicker, probably maybe 1/2 to 1 hour from startup to sound at its best, but I still think I prefer the idea of leaving it on... is that a psychological thing?,... I remember in the day, some of the Hifi companies recommended it.
The CD Transport always turns itself into standby mode and I have always kept the Beresford on too.
What do you guys do?

All off at night.
The heat coming off the Belles Monoblocks must cost so prefer off at night anyway.
All on very first thing. Seems to come on song almost immediately Pretty anal about not leaving the CD on Pause

I leave all my source components and preamp running permanently as they hate coming on song from stone cold.
The power amp comes on with the regenerator and sounds great after less than 30 mins.

I leave the system switched off when not in use, it needs 2 hours warm up to sound its best.

I leave them on when they are playing Seriously, half an hour warm up before hand and then bamm.

The 'NVA' system is permanently powered, the 'Primare' system gets powered off overnight, my other 'systems' are both hooked up to PCs and get turned on and off with them. The 5.1 system gets turned on and off with the telly, i.e. it gets shut down when I go to bed.

The phono stage is left on permanently because it sounds wrong for a l-o-o-o-o-o-n-g time if it gets powered down. Everything else is switched off when not in use. Twenty minutes for it to sound good, half an hour to sound great.

How interesting, we all tend to do things similar but not the same. I guess that is the way of life.

I tested my kit a few years ago one evening after work. Mainly Naim at the time I think.
From cold, not right and every half hour, gradual improvements until little or no difference between 1.5 and 2 hours

Permanent, having things ready to go is nice, dont mind spending 100w/h on that. Heat monsters would have me second guessing that stance for sure.

The Exposure's certainly took quite a bit longer to come on song than the Belles does.

May be age of the kit of course.
pick of
1. Actual age, when built 2. Total hours use 3. When designed

If one has a valve set-up I wonder if it's more practical to turn them off when not in use as valves only have a finite life and some can be expensive to replace!.
I'm sure with SS it's not so important (but then with Class 'A" it may prove a little expensive).
Some people won't leave iFi power supplies on with the phono amp as they seem to get suspiciously hot.

All get switched off. SS amp sounds pretty good pretty quick, the EL34s take about an hour to start really singing and the KT88s about the same.

I wouldn't leave a valve amp switched on and unattended.

On a slightly similar subject; does anybody else have a Sky Q box that constantly makes a processing noise, like it's constantly downloaded stuff? It's so annoying, that I turn the plug off every night now.

My Tivo is always on. By today's standards a noisy hard drive. No programmes recorded if I turn it off
