I tried very hard, closed my eyes, strained a bit, flexed, walked up and down the room
All I could hear was wonderful music.
Thinking I was doing this wrong I tried again.
Can only hear the music
Whatever next ?!

And if you remove it, I bet you still hear music?

I listened to my 'test signals' and all I get is music. What's going wrong?

I sat down to listen to a new cable last night.
It was rubbish. Not even an inkling of music. It then hit me that I needed to plug it into my system for it to work. As a system, the music that fills the room is very satisfying.
By the way, what is the point in this thread?

Just a gentle piss-take. A little humour to get us through the day

I can see the humour, but I feel something has to be said. This thread and so many others are being driven by a prolific "internet stalker" who displays an unhealthy obsession with Martin and other notable forum personas. He drives debates and stirs up his cabal of sycophants to post his opinions and comments on here.
He and his disciples are the first to make unfounded accusations against others, yet expect to be able to spam his wares here and elsewhere with impunity.
Until TAS finds a way to cut his influence from the forum, it will be hampered from its goal of being a friendly place to discuss our passion for our shared interests. A banned former member should have no influence whatsoever here.
In short, there is an elephant in the room that we all can smell, who constantly gets in everyone's way but whom nobody wants to recognise the presence of. If we wanted to be part of his agenda and discussions, I'm sure there's a place we could all go to in order to do that.
Personally I want no part of this toxic troll or his agendas in my life. If that means not visiting this forum in order to avoid his presence, then that's a step I will reluctantly take. It's a great forum with the nicest and most decent owners you could find, but there's an awful smell of shit in here and I need some fresh air.

Don't worry Andrew, we really have had a good laugh at it all. Humour is the best medicine, right?
I can assure you that there is little influence being exerted on us. We take our own path and are highly resistant to negativity, small-mindedness and those who seek to belittle.
We do recognise that we have a great community of forum members here, though. You are important to us and I take your comments seriously. No trolls are going to be allowed to drive good members away.

I'm concerned that Mike could hear music coming from his Black Ravioli. I'd expect it to make exactly the same noise as cables do - ie none whatsoever.

I have only found out recently, that you have to press this button on the front of the amp called power to be able to listen to music, I thought it just magically worked, shame on me

And if you remove it, I bet you still hear music? Tried that. The CD player looked wonky wonky. Music there but the sound was wonky wonky. Ok take all the Black Ravioli out. CD player now not wonky wonky. Unfortunately sound was wonky wonky. One Black Ravioli to ear. Can't hear anything. Stereo ! and one Black Raviolit to other ear. Still can't hear anything Put them back under CD player. Sound back to where it was. Phew. That's better. No more wonky. Only heard music. All I heard was music. Some tracks get better being played over and over.

I tried listening to the kit, so did you. Listening to a great system on song makes you unaware of the kit. I'm looking for some sort of curtain for mine

Being told I and others listen to kit I thought i'd try it. Didn't work. The system is currently not playing music. Can't hear any music no matter how much I strain to hear everything. Very realistic wheeze of a dog with less than perfect breathing. Guess that's Lily not the system

Not a troll post and it may not work at all.
Take a 50p cheap bath sponge and cut it into four. Replace each piece of black ravioli with a quarter of this sponge (I know it won't look as hi-tech) and see if the perception of the music changes. If it's worse, you've only lost a few tens of pence..

Ok, foot in mouth again - apologies.
I still think my cheap suggestion is worth a try, even if its a few pence wasted.

I tried black ravioli. Sent it back because it was clearly overlooked to the point of being burnt.
