Before Statement, yes Penta, the reason I made them Nelson had said at 55W he had the biggest Single Ended Class A ever, to a Yank no way we are British. he he sorry Nelson, When first switched ON the all the lights in the hotel dropped out so the day before the show I had to adjust the soft start. 2 off 2KVA Transformers and 3 banks of 1.5F caps at 80V, 80 FET's, 80 Power Darlingtons'. On power in silent mode 1.8KW each. Heatsink 1800mm High, 300mm wide, 200mm deep. Granite front. Nice toys.

And as a contrast, here is a single ended class A mosfet amp I built some years ago, one of a pair (monoblocks).
It was said to sound very good but I did not agree. Only a couple of watts at best.
