 Before Statement, yes Penta, the reason I made them Nelson had said at 55W he had the biggest Single Ended Class A ever, to a Yank no way we are British. he he sorry Nelson, When first switched ON the all the lights in the hotel dropped out so the day before the show I had to adjust the soft start. 2 off 2KVA Transformers and 3 banks of 1.5F caps at 80V, 80 FET's, 80 Power Darlingtons'. On power in silent mode 1.8KW each. Heatsink 1800mm High, 300mm wide, 200mm deep. Granite front. Nice toys. |

And as a contrast, here is a single ended class A mosfet amp I built some years ago, one of a pair (monoblocks).
It was said to sound very good but I did not agree. Only a couple of watts at best.
