I think that between Martin, Jules, Jerry, and me, we've sampled quite a few pieces of SMSL kit and I don't believe any us has had a bad word to say about the brand. Mostly they're not going to replace good top-of-the-line equipment, but they have consistently punched way above their weight. I'm not going to be daft enough to state as a certainty that you'll love it, but I will be surprised if you're not impressed at what it does for what it costs.

I just hope they don't over-extend themselves and start churning out loads of different gear to the detriment of QC. I will say, though, one thing that does strike me is the layout of the internals. They consistently 'look' good, and I remember Colin being impressed with the layout of one of their items. Build quality, while not five-star, is another facet of their kit that punches above its weight.
I'm looking forward to playing with my M8 when it arrives this week.

Q5 sounding better as time and use goes on.
Cannot get over what it delivers for the price.
Difficult to believe what it does from that size.

I've just installed a Q5 in the bedroom. Source is a Squeezebox Touch and speakers are Mission 760s. It sounds amazing for the price! Takes up very little room and has a remote control as well. The wife loves it!

How is everyone finding the battery life on the silver remote ?
My 2nd silver remote is going through batteries mch too quickly.
Buying a 2nd black remote will be cheaper
