Prince Harry won't be hopping around mad for his chicken. At least Meghan Markle knows how to roast one. Maybe housewives up and down the country should go to cooking lessons.
But this was predictable. Burger King made the same mistake 6 years ago, and had to go back on their knees to the original delivery company. The union warned KFC that switching delivery company would end up a disaster, but nobody listened. DHL is sending all the goods out from just one warehouse in the whole country. So imagine transporting chicken for every single shop in the country from just one location. What can possibly go wrong? The franchises should sue KFC.

Reminds me of watching one of those 999 programs where a call agent said they regularly get 999 calls asking how to cook Turkey at Christmas... are we done for, is society really getting that stupid??!! |

Think it is common to ask someone else, almost anything.
Learning process for me at work.
Everyone came to me for all sorts and asking pathetic questions. Was a while before I cottoned on by asking them for their answer first.
Then realised I asked questions of others which I could sort myself so I changed to asking myself and usually had the answer.

As I mentioned earlier, in the midst of all the finger-pointing and joke-making, spare a thought for the poor buggers that work in the 300+ KFC outlets that are closed, and who have been sent home without pay. Now I don't know about you, but I'm willing to bet that KFC themselves don't come out of this situation with a financial loss, so I wonder if they'll share what they claim from DHL with their employees, and with their franchise-holders so that they can filter any settlement down to their staff. Yes, that was a joke.
Apparently, chicken is "going to waste" as drivers have been left waiting "for hours" because of problems getting into the firm's (DHL's) new delivery site, in Rugby. So there's another side to the situation. Whatever your view of KFC food per se, DHL is causing tons of perfectly good food to be wasted it seems.

Spoke to my friend with DHL knowledge.
This was the big bit of DHL, logistics (!) not the vans we know.
He is not in direct touch with DHL right now so doesn't have intimate knowledge but says heads will roll as the management are very unhappy about any bad PR.
