So KFC decided to trust the delivery of their fresh chicken to DHL. And guess what: DHL has not been able to delivery a single piece of chicken. The end results has been that hundreds of KFC shops have been closed for days in some cases. You would have thought that whoever decided to give the job to DHL would have at least done a bit of research on DHL. You cannot doe a 48 hours delivery on fresh chicken. It's a same day service, which DHL does not provide I think.

I heard that they did deliver it, but they left it in the shed and the foxes got it.

Was delivered by these up to last week, specialists in food distribution....
Bidvest Logistics translate the needs and wants of their UK hospitality and restaurant customers into bespoke supply chain solutions that are cost effective, responsive and durable.
Then no doubt to cut costs the idiots at KFC trust a parcel delivery company to deliver chicken, wise move!!!

I wonder if anyone has bothered to check with the shop next door. Doesn't DHL leave parcels next door if nobody is in?

DHL are a monstrous organisation and this may not be the normal part that we know and see. How many heads will roll ?

It'll be interesting to know, either way, I suspect it will be done very quietly to avoid any further embarrassment.

DHL were given the contract 2 years ago, but tried to deliver to all 1000 stores in the same week and failed 😉
And yes heads have already rolled, at DHL and KFC 😉
Saddest thing is the number of staff at KFC outlets who have been threatened and abused by disgruntled customers 😔
As well as the number of KFC Franchise staff who won't be paid this week 😔

In days of old people would rally round and try to help, now all they want to do is complain, sue, harass and abuse those that have no control over the situation 😔 What is sadder IS the fact that it is unsurprising 😟

She is such a sweet and lovely lady so I really felt for her when she was describing it. It's 5p for flip sake, get over yourselves, oh and it isn't the cashiers fault, it was a country wide introduction, idiots!

At least the staff won't have to put up with abuse now, most of them have been sent home without pay according to the BBC News. Abusing the innocent is nothing new though; when I worked for B.T. as an engineer in The City of London, back in the seventies, I got moaned at for the price of stamps, the mains power going off in an office, and a kettle blowing up...all in one week.
