As I've started to suffer from OMS (old man's syndrome) I was lying there this morning thinking - not something I like to do too often, stuff wears out you know - and for some reason I started playing with the names of various forums. Stuff like: Where I Go When After Music Pinkie's Favourite Music Alternative Operating Systems That sort of stuff!! So this isn't about mains power but Acronym Central. Anyway, it reminded me of a little story. The vineyard that is on our regular guest list of places to visit does a great tour. You get to see all the oak barrels, get to taste all the products and visit the copper vats where they turn the grapes into cognac. One of the first things I noticed the first time I went there was all the staining around the edges of the ceiling. It was explained that this was a result of all the condensation from the distillation process and apparently, should you feel so moved, it gets pretty concentrated and is rather intoxicating. They call it The Angel's Share. Nice to know you are the good guys

When I visited the Ben Nevis distillery, which was utterly fascinating, they talking about the natural evaporation and losses they suffer. They also called it The Angel's Share and said that HMRC officially recognises it for tax reasons.

Nice. Yeah but only the proper version not the bloated and ugly 427 with the giant wheel arches - yuck

I have an book of Autocar road tests which includes the original Cobra. Even better for me is the car it was based on. This Ace has the Bristol engine and was being driven at our annual motorfest in Angouleme. Three days of TOTAL car mania. Rallies, Concours and racing around the town (Circuit de Remparts - look it up for those that don't know) My camera gets a bit hot over the weekend. The rally/tour comes through our nearest small town about 2 kilometres away. Anyone in this part of France during September shouldn't miss it.

Nice. Yeah but only the proper version not the bloated and ugly 427 with the giant wheel arches - yuck The Frua styled 428 was nice too.
